New Season

Spring is here! My scaly skin sees the sun again. Fresh flowers fill the farmers markets. And windows are open with new air.

As the calendar flips to a new month, I find myself personally entering a new season in life. I’ve lived through a lot of seasons but all of them had a common theme: busy! For many years I was busy with school. Busy with moving. Busy with boys. Busy with planning my next adventure. Busy trying to be more busy. Always busy. Busy with occupying my time with more and more … I’ve entered a new season. One with time. One with space. Space to do the things I have been saying I will do someday. Read books for fun. Craft corky projects. Learn to cook. Pursue photography as a hobby. Invest in my church community. Be stretched in bible study.

This is my new place to take time and record simple joys. The joys that often go unmarked and unappreciated. This is a place to record the corky joys that light me up. Here’s to a new season.
