Lady In Red
Here’s to the lady in red! Yesterday afternoon, a huge party broke out in heaven to welcome home Grandma Shirley.
Grandma Shirley was a firecracker, a storyteller, and a champion of fun. She was a classy woman who wore red dresses with gold belts and matching lipstick. She was a prankster that made you watch your step and check your bed sheets. She was a server who never let your plate go empty or your drink go dry. She was a 4 O’clock happy hour host who welcomed friends and strangers to her kitchen table. She was a beautiful Irish woman who gave St. Patrick’s Day a whole new meaning.
Grandma Shirley loved hard, cared deeply, and had a heck of a lot of fun. I will never forget the way she always showed up. Big or small events, Grandma was a part of the memory. It is difficult to lose such a good friend, but today I have peace knowing she is home. Heaven is so lucky to have you, Grandma. We love you and miss you already.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
