You You You

The morning was morning and the snow was snowing. Drifts were drifting and the wind was blowing. Coats were coating, gloves were gloving. Boots were bootin and loves were loving. And he, he was he-ingAnd she, she was she-ing And they, they were they-ing And I... was me-ing. But you you you, you were you-ing.Like you you you, you love doing. And you you you, you were you-ing like you do. I just love it when you you. -Okee Dokee Brothers

Organizing Digital Photos

As I step into 2019, I have never been more motivated to declutter and organize my digital photos and data storage! If you are anything like me, you have 1,000's of pictures piled up on external hard-drives, clouds, cameras, phones, and computers. Hundreds of videos are often stored but never played again. Files that were scanned and labeled "important" are forever floating in a folder on a misplaced external hard-drive. There is no denying it! My digital photos and process…

Fireplace Facelift

Tonight, I wrapped up another project just in time for the holidays! When we moved into this house, I knew the basement was not a top priority, but I had a goal to clean up the fireplace before Christmas. It was a risky project (because there is no going back!) but the original brick was a touch too dark for our white trim, so I went for it! This meant one thing, if this was the house we wanted to call our home, we would need to make some big changes on a pretty tight budget. After weighing the pros…

The House Hunt

This past Spring, Jake and decided we were outgrowing our town-home as a family of three and it was time to start the house hunt. We organized our finances, we found a realtor, and little did we know, we entered a one of the most competitive housing markets in 10 years. Houses were flyinggg off the market in less than 24 hours. We would tour a house, make an offer, and quickly learn that we were outbid by another buyer.…

Cabin in the Woods

This year my parent's built the grandkids a cabin in the woods. They believe every kid needs a place for outdoor adventure, slumber parties, and bonfires under the stars. This is the kind of people they are, thoughtful and generous and incredibly talented. Thanks for this forever gift. I hope this next year brings countless cabin adventures. We are so grateful!
